The bus station is about one kilometre out of town but me and my luggage cope and it is a pleasant stroll along the 'front', as we northerners say. On entering the old town, one of my much anticipated destinations presents itself to me.
Siopa opened in May this year and has been going great guns since then. It is a very friendly place and the outside tables in the pedestrian area offer a fantastic place to chill, as I am to soon discover. The wheat beer, Paulaner, is available on draft and there is a range of bottled craft beers as shown below. More later.
There is a warm welcome from Isabelina at Casa Vera Cruz. http://www.rahestepona.es/
Defintely a great place to stay. Clean and comfortable with lots of space and a constant supply of tea and coffee, which is rare in Spain. My room, El Patio, situated by same, is traditional in stlye without being dated.
